I have been terrible the past two days
I haven’t had any good food, at all.
I was telling myself, “enjoy your last days without processed snacks” and totally sabotaged myself.
Wednesday will tell how much damage was caused.
But now? I’m exhausted, have stuff to do before bed, and it’s already 10.
But remember my white board post from earlier? I said I was gonna do stairs, so I’m going to do...

F yeah! (Am I allowed to say that?) February goals
Zero, zilch, none, nada, zip processed snacks.
Stretch at least twice a day. I can barely get halfway to my toes. Because of this, I have a higher rate of injury, which is something I’d like to avoid.
Lift three times a week.
Conquer 30 day shred (the first 28 days)I tried this in the past, but gave up. It’s time to commit and follow through.
Get more sleep!
Be creative!...
Anonymous asked: Hey Kate! Hope you had a great day. I saw you bought one of those step kits, i am sooooo jealous! I really want to buy one, lol. Feburary's a new month and you will kick its butt!

The snow shoe run!
Although I don’t run or do things too physical to help causes like Abel and Lauren, I love helping with the planning, set up, and running of events.
Today, I helped at the Snow Shoe 5K, a run where a group of people put on snow shoes and ran a 5k! (I’m TOTALLY running in it next year!) The event was for Smart Farms, a farm that encourages sustainable food sources, and...
Lunch!
two egg whites with sauteed green peppers and onions
Finished product! (Yeah, I know, I’m a BEAST at making omeletes :])

Banishing "saddle bags"
*Remember when I told you that I’m a hypochondriac and WebMD sends me 5 emails a day? Well, look what I got today! It’s like they know me!
**Saddle bags are that pesky thigh fat that we all hate. (I didn’t know either until I read the article). I, for one, HATE my thighs, and would love to slim them. And while spot reduction is a bunch of poop, it wouldn’t...

Totes not wanting to bike, but I'm going to do it...
Fuck yeah accountability.
Where do you all live that snow closes...
Here in Chicago, the only thing snow means in even worse drivers!
Consider me jealous, and to anyone with cancelled jobs or school, enjoy your day!
And to all you sick people out there, hope you have a good day and feel better!
My first experience with Vibrams!
(Sorry I’ve posted like a million things today. I had the day off of work and yeah…)
So I hustle to REI after classes were out at 12:45 and walk in, not knowing what to expect. The stores been there for years and I’ve never been in it, no wonder I’m overweight… (haha!). Anyways, REI is AWESOME! It makes me want to pick up and leave the chicago suburbian flat land...
It's not tuesday, but....
Two lovely fitblr folk got out of the 200’s today and have made it into the 100s! That is so exciting, and made me smile this morning, despite my (minor) setback!
So if you aren’t following them, (which you already should be because, well, they rock!), hit that follow button and watch them continue to kick major ass!
And while you’re at it, send them a nice message telling...
Anonymous asked: Its your Fitblr buddy! Haha, sorry I didn't say that yesterday :P
Hey, we all have these weeks, don't let it get you down! Put it behind you and don't look back. Just remember that we all didn't gain weight overnight and we're not gonna loose it that way either. Have a great day :)

WIW, well this sucks (haha) edition
Starting weight: 186.4 LWW: 182.0 CW: 184.0 This week: +2 pounds Overall change: -2.4 pounds
I let eating get the best of me this weekend. And although you can’t always have a loss, this sucks. Hahah.
Anddd turning it positive (harder to do than normal :p) : I am going to kick so much ass this week at the gym and in the kitchen, I WILL get to below LWW next week!
Now I'm confused
was that my fitblr buddy, or just a really nice person?
Either way, many thanks! <3

Just wanted to say that you are awesome! I love your dry erase board pictures. To run 500 miles throughout 2011 will be tough, but you can do it. I happy to cheer you on!!

Tumblr Tuesday!
I’m really bad at these recommendation posts, but this week goes to Katy, over at runningmyassoff.
She is one of the most supportive people I’ve ever “met” in my entire life, and always has a ‘like’ waiting for everyone, or a comment to add. She is the world’s biggest sweetheart.
She is also sick right now, so take a second out of your day to send...

I was just trying on a few different things, deciding what to wear today, and tried on a pair of black shiny pants that I bought over Thanksgiving (I was around 190 then) that would barely go up my legs, but guess what?!
THEY FIT!
Now, I’m not wearing them today because it’s winter and they’re capris (and I haven’t shaved my legs in a few weeks because I live in pants,...
@seekathyrun
I’ve run in Nike “minimalist shoes,” but like a lot of reviews say, they have high heels and are really cushioned.
I, myself, am fascinated with the “barefoot running” things. I’ve been on sites all night, looking at different brands of minimalist shoes and so far I’ve found the best ones seem to be the vibrams.
I’m actually terrified of them, but...
I feel great today.
So much energy from my work out, since it’s been so long since my last one.
16 oz of water left to drink today!
Outside run one, done!
Although I didn’t quite make it all the way to 53 minutes, it’s a step in the right direction.
It was very experimental, and I started learning a lot about outdoor running.
I ran for 35 minutes, 2.84 miles.
Not where I want to be, but I’ll be there soon.
Back to working out.
Confession: It’s been a week and a day since I’ve done anything really active. Sick, I know, but I was sick, and the last thing I wanted to do was get out of bed and workout.
But, today that changes. Running to the store real quick, then coming home to run.
Yup, I’m trying outside running today. What, what?!
Wish me luck.
(This is my 100th post, it was at 99 all day...
I really have no interest in football,
but I feel compelled to say…
GO BEARS!
Unsure about time zones
but I was up an hour ago at 8:30, and a good portion of you were already on.
y’all are crazy.
But then I went shopping and look at what I got :]
I went over calories today
Please, be careful in this weather.
This morning, my brother called to say that last night, him and his roommates threw a party in his apartment. A bunch of kids stayed the night, and this morning around 8 am, four of them got up and drove him.
On their way home, they hit a patch of black ice, making the car turn around, where they were hit head on by a school bus, where two of them died, and two are in the hospital.
It’s...
And then I said, screw the cookie, and made a...
only 139 calories per slice, which is less than a cookie, and much more satisfying.
And now I use my self control to not eat another slice, and another slice, and another one.

9 Diet Busting Winter Foods
A little fun fact about me is that I am a slight raging hypochondriac. A little cough in my head turns into a life threatening diseaseand a paper cut could magically make me bleed out or get infected. I realize it is highly irrational, but what can you do?
Anyways, I get 2 or 3 emails from WebMD daily, and one of the things they send me are recipes and health tips.
So here are 9 diet busting...
I just got an email about winter diet busting...
And I was saying how much I wanted….
Cookies. Enjoying one small cookie is not a problem. “Most small (about 1 -2 ounces) cookies are around 200-250 calories, which is not bad if you eat only one — but who can stop at one?” asks Tallmadge.
